The City of La Vista, Nebraska (population 18,000) is accepting applications for a full time Mechanic. Under the direction of the Shop Foreman, performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled manual labor tasks in mechanical work and routine preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment. Graduation from an accredited high school or GED required. Must possess or be able to obtain a Nebraska “Class AO” commercial driver’s license within six (6) months of hire. Thorough knowledge of mechanical repair and preventive vehicle maintenance required. Starting salary $33,633, plus benefits.
